The "BASICS"
of health and fitness
are the same 3 things
mom used to tell you:
"Eat your veggies."
"Get to bed."
"Go outside and play."
Science has shown that mom was right. Health – at any age – comes down to three medically-proven BASICS:
1) EAT - try to include a variety of minimally-processed foods in your diet, especially vegetables and fruit. And enjoy the eating.
2) SLEEP – 7 to 8 hours a night for older adults.
3) MOVE - regularly. It doesn’t matter how or how fast – walk, run, ride, swim, dance – whatever makes you happy. And for older adults, it's important to strength train once or twice a week.
This is BASIC-TRAINING.
